The day went off better than imagined. Far far better. Why? Cause we traveled across Taiwan where the weather is way hotter than Malaysia. I think I got sun burnt and I was craving for some cold chills down my spine kind of love : ( Mao Pi Tou aka The Cat’s Nose. I stood there trying to figure out why it is called so. Let see if your eyes are sharp enough to notice that weird looking cat that looked more like a rat to me!

This was an option between lighthouse or the filming set of Cape No. 7. Judging from the picture above, yea we went to the filming set instead. Why they choose this? (My family was not involved in the voting session) Cause the tour guide played this 2 hours plus show in the bus in which I spent sleeping. Haha. I know, joy killer ;p

This ah ma at the road side selling coconut made her first ever debut in the world of fames as extras. Haha! Apparently she stayed through the Japanese Occupation in Taiwan. She also sang a song in Japanese : ) never able to get the title of the song cause we were rushed off.

Lao He Night Market that sells all sort of weird meats : / oh, did I mention that it was a sit in the bus all day trip? Thinking about it makes my butt sore.

This was a quick pit stop at the side fro us to take some pictures. Taroko Gorge National Park. I know, I know. It seemed like I have been visiting a lot of national parks. Truth to be told, I think so too.

Our next stop was at this coffee house overlooking this temple. The area is called Taroko Memorial Arch Building. The temple attracted me a lot. Mainly the streams of water flowing out of the temple, I guess.

And that was where I was sitting. Actually I just moved my body front and back only. Haha. But the nice weather and the smell of coffee. Somehow, everything seemed so peaceful : ) a pity I never liked coffee and they do not offer tea. Ah.

Lu Ye Gaotai. Let me tell you why this place is like a dreamland.

Families setting up picnic spots at one side, couples cuddling each others while giggles can be heard from afar, kids using cardboards sliding down the slope and me? Looking at the far far near the mountain where there were people doing some para-gliding. This place spells serenity, bonding and love.

I am shy to admit this but this is like my first hot spring moments. Haha. We were given the option to do it outdoor (free) or pay about 20TWD each for a closed room that can fit 2. Guess which one I choose? Haha. No lollipops for winner ;p

The scary outdoor hot spring swimming pool. Haha. Why scary? Soooooooooo many people *exaggeration implied* will be starring at you cause 1. you are not local, 2. you are not local and 3. you are not local.

My night ended with fireworks, laughters and warmth. I hope yours will be too : ) life is too short to be sad over. Be happy!

The next day, everyone was drenching in water. It was raining cats and dogs. Not to mention, the cold wind not only send chills down your spines but have you rattling your teeth throughout the day. We looked like bulky human walking around in yellow trash bags lookalike raincoats!

After visiting the National Taiwan Democracy Memorial Hall, we went to this place called Yehliu Geopark and had our eyes feasts on *points below*

It was pretty and pretty cold : ( we did not stay that long. The wind was getting pretty mean with us but, on the way out, we saw the queen’s head!

Haha! These stuffs were everywhere and there called it “honeycombs”. Shaped by nature itself and so happens, this turned out into the shape of the queen’s head. I wonder which queen.

My father always tell me that “when it comes to food, one must not be stingy” and that was the reason why we all looked like a pig! Haha. Chiufen Old Street not only sell food but also other stuffs such as souvenirs, toys, clothings and boots!

I so love this! Peanut pancake. A layer of popiah skin, a generous layer of crushed peanuts, topped with 2 scoops of peanut ice cream and wrap it like a popiah. Done by an old couple and I swear, I had been hunting for this ever since I came back to Malaysia. Anyone know where I can get this?

Well, as usual that when you are following a tour, there has to be a cultural show of some kind of indigenous tribes. This is it! No idea what origin or anything more detailed. I was in the toilet for the first half of the show. I suppose this is a wrap for my day 2 ;p

first night in Taiwan and dinner was Shihlin Night Market! to be very honest, the food they sold are very repetitive. if you have had enough to eat, walk over the road they are pretty things sold there. i hadn’t had the chance to walk over cause i was busy eating T.T

one of the many same things they sell there, oyster omelette, or rather how Chinese would call it, 蚝煎.

this is love love love! not even a tinge of bitterness instead, it tasted sweet WITHOUT sugar! a must try and it is a healthy drink after all! bitter melon stimulates digestion.

Taiwanese sausage wrapped in rice bun shaped like sausage as well! the sausage is a bit too sweet for my liking.

i swear i had thousands of this! haha. i practically eat this almost everywhere i spot it. indeed the smell is strong but the taste, zilch! smelly tofu is a must try! apparently, the smellier it gets, the nicer the taste :p

ok. so i think most of you all must have heard or at least seen Shihlin Street stalls in One Utame (near the old cinema) or maybe in Sunway Pyramid (at the Asian Avenue), i assure you, this beats those. seriously authentic fried chicken ala Shihlin Street style and mind you, the queue was terribly long! had to queue for 15minutes to get one piece!

first night stay at Hsuan Mei Hotel i didn’t really took much pictures of hotel rooms unless it really fascinates me and yes probably some of you might have seen better than this, but, my room was different from everyone else! i got one whole jacuzzi in my room which i spent 30 minutes in it while watching Detective Conan life is awesome!
