BBF + Fuji Velvia 100F + XPro = ?

by jajason |
February 4th, 2010

Hi everybody.. So sorry for not contributing for such a long time. My life is so so so occupied now with this and that. Its the beginning of my semester and there are already tonnes of work for me to complete and not to forget, I am involved in my University’s basketball competition where I trained almost everyday from evening till near midnight. Sigh.. Time is so limited for me. Thankfully, basketball is over now and its time for me to get back to my normal life.

Basically, U can see what this post is all about through the title clearly.. I have inserted Fuji Velvia into the BBF borrowed from Adrian last month and bringing it everywhere with me. Shoot here and there and these are what u get from the equation at the title.

how to do multiple exposure on your LOMO LC-A

by adrian |
November 26th, 2009

There’s two ways to do multiple exposure on your original russian LOMO LC-A.

A. Simple tweak:

  1. Take a shot.
  2. Push the button on the bottom right as if to rewind the film (camera back facing you).
  3. Move the advance wheel as if to advance to the next frame.
  4. Take another shot. The pictures will overlap (double expose).
  5. Repeat steps 1-4 for multiple exposures.

    B. Adding a multiple exposure button/ switch to your LC-A similar like the LC-A+. This one requires surgery on your camera. Pls do it at your OWN RISK!

Have fun and remember to share your multiple exposure shots!!!

UWS + REDscale for the 1st Time

    by jajason |
    November 22nd, 2009

Hi.. I am Jajason and finally I can find a bit of time to write my first post. I am currently in the midst of having my finals.. Stress stress stress..

After being chosen begging to get into the team to write for TCS, I started to borrow the Digital Harinezumi but my mingy stingy master doesn’t include it with a battery and memory card so I borrowed a UWS instead. I am kinda broke this month so can’t afford any extra money on my interests.

I always wanted to get the ori UWS but never had the chance. With my newfound super power after joining TCS, its time to play with those toy cameras that i love without buying it. Haha..

The UWS is mini and cute and I can bring it everywhere with ease. After shooting 1 roll of redcsale film with it while on my trip around KL and back to my hometown. The things that I dont really like bout the cam is:

    1. Can’t do multiple exposure.
    2. Need a bright sunny day for nice pics.

But the wide angle lens is truly amazing.. Love it so much..

I paired it up with a roll of homemade redscale of Fuji Superia 200. If you dont know what am I talking about, check out this link –> Redscale . And if you are interested to know how to make it yourself. Check this link –> DIY Redscale . You can save a lot by making it yourself instead of buying it from LSI. So like what I said, I am so damn poor this month but still wanna try some special films instead of the normal negatives, redscale is the  only option i have.

I grabbed some clothes and my UWS,  escaped from all my stress here in KL for a few days and back to my hometown. Check out some of the pics that I love and give some comments bout it.. Compliments are welcome too if you love it.

    blackbird, fly preview

    by zybisko14 |
    November 13th, 2009

Hello I am zybisko14, and I am chosen as one of the slave contributor for this site, I volunteered because I wanted to try out all the cameras for free and run away shoot different photos using different cameras. I used to be a digital guy, shooting whatever that fancies me, but at the end of the day, the amount of digital junk I collect is actually a pain to go through. So I ventured into film, it has 2 advantages:

    1. Each shot is carefully considered, you don’t just shoot gung ho
    2. I have always liked the effect of film, it looks so original and sincere.
    3. I dig mechanical cameras, they are fuss free and basic
    4. I don’t know how to count

In overall, I have been trying to break the rules, you know the good old rule of 3rds, the leading lines. You know how it goes, LOL. But in truth I have been failing miserably to do so. So with luck I hope I can break all this using a toy camera. not the toy camera lah! The rules!

Anyway, I was saying, with toy cameras, they offer much more basic requirements. Introducing the blackbird fly,

The instax mini 7 and the instax mini 7s has finally arrived! Anyways, they look damn good…drool~

    IMG_0479

Did you notice something different? The funny thing is that even the instax mini 7 (pink) is now called the instax mini 7s. Weird. As far as I know it is the same camera. Maybe with s it sounds cooler. Like Mini Cooper S! Also came together was the instax mini film. There was also some problem with the shipping of jelly lens, so that will take another week or so :(

    New stock:

Instax mini film – Only 10 boxes available

    Temporary out of stock:

Instax mini 7 (or is it 7s too?) white-blue/white-pink – ETA end Jan ‘10

    Instax mini 7s white/choco – ETA end Jan ‘10

    LOMO Smena 8M

Jelly lens – ETA mid Nov ‘09

All Kodak films – ETA mid Nov ‘09

There MIGHT be a small shipment of instax mini 7 white-blue/white-pink mid Nov ‘09. Most of them are already reserved. There will be a few still available and I’ll definitely put it up for sale. However I won’t be taking up orders so that I do not disappoint anyone! First come first serve basis when it arrives! Will definitely update my website when it does!
