Greetings from South Africa

by jajason |
March 10th, 2010

So. Like what I had promised. This post is all about the pictures took by my girlfriend in South Africa. As u can notice later. All pictures were taken by a digital camera and definitely the shots are not as cool as 1 using a film camera. Expect no lomography here. Only plain digitalgraphy..

My girlfriend had the opportunity to go for this student exchange program by the Lions Club. I am actually quite jealous about it as I am being left behind in Malaysia and cant go to a place I never been to and see are there any prawns left in South Africa. You will get what I mean if you watch District 9. Too bad I cant fit into her luggage bag.

So, to sum up what is there in South Africa… Just scroll down..

1. Lots of flights to take..

The V-Day!

bitterness imprisons life; love releases it.
bitterness paralyzes life; love empowers it.
bitterness sours life; love sweetens it.
bitters sickens life; love heals it.
bitterness blinds life, love anoints its eyes.

Lomo on your iPhone

by renee.tan |
February 8th, 2010

So you’ve got an iPhone and you’re a big fan of Lomography. What’s better than combining the two loves together? There are many iPhone apps out there that allows you (the proud owner of an iPhone) to take Lomo photos using your iPhone or if you’re like me, the eternal procrastinator, this is an awesome way of going Lomo without having to develop films. Normally, it takes me ages before I get around to processing my films by which time, I forget when I even took the photos.

An application I just installed is the moreLomo app by More-Thing. The best thing about it is that it’s a free app! The latest version has an option to choose between the original photo or the ‘lomorised’ photo. In my opinion, it’s a pretty nifty app.

Here are a few examples of photos taken with moreLomo that I found on the web.

moreLomo is available for download HERE or go to iTunes and search for ‘moreLomo’.

Have fun and don’t forget to share your images with all of us at TCS.

Well well well, as for now, here is a picture of Taiwan! Haha. I still have yet to browse the others yet :) there are about 800+ pictures. Considered as little despite I was there for a week! Anyway, here is a picture of Taiwan for all of you all! The rest should come by very soon!

That Feeling

by happyashley |
January 31st, 2010

Of wanting to take a picture so desperately
That you will do anything…

Like threaten to spill your bestie’s secret?
Bribe them?
Use your most “manja” voice on your parents?

Have you felt it before?

When I was studying in Australia,
I’ve always wanted to go this place.

It has bright colourful cute houses on the beach.
Apart from the hint that its in Melbourne,
I didn’t know where it is!!

I must have asked like a gazillion people,
before finally meeting one who has actually been there!
Woohoo!

“If I don’t go there, I will regret it… for the rest of my life”.

Yay! I found it!!
Mornington Beach, Melbourne by happyashley, on Flickr

Haha.. No regrets..
Even though my mom nagged non-stop throughout the 1 hour ride..
*pretended the radio is on*

… maybe one tiny regret,
If only I had bbf back then!

Next stop: KTM depot @ Central Station with LC-A

The Plamodel Camera Christmas Ed. – A Review

by renee.tan |
December 31st, 2009

Hello Clickers,

How’s everyone doing? What did all of you get for Christmas?

Somebody (you know who you are!) read my wishlist and I am now a proud owner of the yellow UWS. Yes, be jealous, be very jealous. I’ll post up some photos of it soon.

Adrian, from The Click Shop, surprised me with a very unexpected gift - The Plamodel Camera Christmas Edition. I chose the red packaging although I’ve been told that essentially, it is the same camera inside and it comes in only one colour; black. Inside the packet, I found an instruction manual and the camera parts. It is very very important to make sure that you lose none of the parts. Before starting, I would recommend you give the manual a once over. Locate all parts mentioned in the manual. This can be done easily because the parts are numbered.

What people have to say about The *Click* Shop?

by adrian |
December 29th, 2009

It seems like nowadays there are more and more online shops cropping up! I admit it’s hard to stand out amidst all the clutter in cyberspace.

But we will strive to be the BEST! How do we stand out you ask?

1. Excellent service - before and after sales service mind you! We couldn’t care less if you bought anything from us or not, “just ask and we’ll answer”. That’s our philosophy to all your questions.

2. Assurancewe provide actual warranty support to ALL items that we sell. If the warranty says one(1) year, we provide warranty support for one(1) year. We won’t say that we cover your item for 10 days and ask you to send it to the manufacturer yourself for the next remaining 355 days if problems crop up.

3. Honesty - nobody wants to listen to bullshit! Just honest opinions and answers at The *Click* Shop… ALWAYS!

4. Reasonable prices - interest is what drives us, not $$$.

Read what others have to say about us <*click* here>
