Lomo on your iPhone

by renee.tan |
February 8th, 2010

So you’ve got an iPhone and you’re a big fan of Lomography. What’s better than combining the two loves together? There are many iPhone apps out there that allows you (the proud owner of an iPhone) to take Lomo photos using your iPhone or if you’re like me, the eternal procrastinator, this is an awesome way of going Lomo without having to develop films. Normally, it takes me ages before I get around to processing my films by which time, I forget when I even took the photos.

An application I just installed is the moreLomo app by More-Thing. The best thing about it is that it’s a free app! The latest version has an option to choose between the original photo or the ‘lomorised’ photo. In my opinion, it’s a pretty nifty app.

Here are a few examples of photos taken with moreLomo that I found on the web.

moreLomo is available for download HERE or go to iTunes and search for ‘moreLomo’.

Have fun and don’t forget to share your images with all of us at TCS.

Fuji Instax Invasion

by renee.tan |
February 2nd, 2010

Omg.

The Fuji Instax invasion is here at TheClickShop! :)

For those who don’t know already, I have the Choco one and I’ve never looked back since! It’s a very fun camera that I take around with me everywhere and there are so many oohs and aahs when friends or family see the photos that pop out from it. It’s light and very easy to use. The manual, albeit in Japanese, is very fuss-free and the images alone are able to assist in setting up the Fuji Instax. I know because I set mine up in less than 5 minutes.

So for those of you who are interested and are still thinking about whether the Instax is worth it, I tell you it is!

And from what I hear, there are only a few units available. Better be quick and grab it while you can.

Once you have, please share your photos with us here at TCS and if you’re on Flickr, do submit your photos to this group.

The Plamodel Camera Christmas Ed. – A Review

by renee.tan |
December 31st, 2009

Hello Clickers,

How’s everyone doing? What did all of you get for Christmas?

Somebody (you know who you are!) read my wishlist and I am now a proud owner of the yellow UWS. Yes, be jealous, be very jealous. I’ll post up some photos of it soon.

Adrian, from The Click Shop, surprised me with a very unexpected gift - The Plamodel Camera Christmas Edition. I chose the red packaging although I’ve been told that essentially, it is the same camera inside and it comes in only one colour; black. Inside the packet, I found an instruction manual and the camera parts. It is very very important to make sure that you lose none of the parts. Before starting, I would recommend you give the manual a once over. Locate all parts mentioned in the manual. This can be done easily because the parts are numbered.

My Christmas Wishlist

by renee.tan |
December 9th, 2009

My favouritest holiday evaaaah is Christmas. It’s the only holiday where I can spend loads and loads of money on presents (for others!) and feel good inside. I thought I’d share my Christmas wishlist with our fellow TCS readers because sharing is caring, riiiiight? :P

So, here we go!

  1. Crumpler’s Industry Disgrace neck strap – dSLR cameras can weight a tonne and the neck strap could cut into the skin when taking photos for long periods of time. Not only is this neck strap comfy, it’s also very the gaya! There’s a particular one that’s got the camouflage design and I super the duper like it. [link]

  3. The Ultra Wide and Slim - Have you seen TCS’ addition to the UWS collection? I’ve always wanted this camera but I’ve never gotten around to getting it. I scour Flickr a lot and I saw loads of fantastic photos taken with this little camera. Psst, my favourite colour is yellow.
  4. UWS

Golden Rules of Lomography

by renee.tan |
December 7th, 2009

As you know, TheClickShop is currently having a promo for its Holga 135 and Holga 135BC TCS set. So, I thought I’d share this really short video I found on YouTube about the Golden Rules of Lomography.

Hopefully, all you lomographers out there will feel refreshed and energized to work your Lomos. If you haven’t gotten your hands on a lomo yet, then, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!

Why I Love Photography

by renee.tan |
December 1st, 2009

This is my FIRST post as a contributer at TCS and I would really like to share with our TCS readers why I love photography so much. I am a firm believer that the hardware does not define a photographer. Yes, having really expensive cameras can make your photograph a lot better but if the photographer lacks vision and inspiration, the images will come off lacking… something.

So, in no particular order, this is why I love photography:

1) It allows me to express myself – Sometimes, thoughts and feelings aren’t so easily expressed in words so, photography does that for me.
