first night in Taiwan and dinner was Shihlin Night Market! to be very honest, the food they sold are very repetitive. if you have had enough to eat, walk over the road they are pretty things sold there. i hadn’t had the chance to walk over cause i was busy eating T.T

one of the many same things they sell there, oyster omelette, or rather how Chinese would call it, 蚝煎.

this is love love love! not even a tinge of bitterness instead, it tasted sweet WITHOUT sugar! a must try and it is a healthy drink after all! bitter melon stimulates digestion.

Taiwanese sausage wrapped in rice bun shaped like sausage as well! the sausage is a bit too sweet for my liking.

i swear i had thousands of this! haha. i practically eat this almost everywhere i spot it. indeed the smell is strong but the taste, zilch! smelly tofu is a must try! apparently, the smellier it gets, the nicer the taste :p

ok. so i think most of you all must have heard or at least seen Shihlin Street stalls in One Utame (near the old cinema) or maybe in Sunway Pyramid (at the Asian Avenue), i assure you, this beats those. seriously authentic fried chicken ala Shihlin Street style and mind you, the queue was terribly long! had to queue for 15minutes to get one piece!

first night stay at Hsuan Mei Hotel i didn’t really took much pictures of hotel rooms unless it really fascinates me and yes probably some of you might have seen better than this, but, my room was different from everyone else! i got one whole jacuzzi in my room which i spent 30 minutes in it while watching Detective Conan life is awesome!

Now my very honest review on Golden Half Chelsea Maika. To be very very VERY honest, I am a bit shocked with its size. It looked nothing like i have imagined! I think I love the feel of the camera itself. Seriously, it has this kind of a nice silky feeling. Haha. That is the best I could describe it. It fits my palm easily and nicely, small yet dangerously sinful!

Very user friendly. I manage to figure out how to use it (well, minus the phone call cause I freaked out a bit. Shall explain it later) and yes, it does not need any batteries at all. It is all about the power of your finger or in my case, fingers! You know, the old way of using a film camera – snap, roll, snap, roll continuously till you can’t roll anymore which is the cue that the film finished already.

Ok. The part I freaked out was the film counter. As this is a half frame camera (Instead of your normal boring 36 pictures, you get 72 pictures! Or in my case, 75 pictures -.-), the film counter works in a different way. You see, the normal film cameras work this way – you snap a picture, the counter turns 1, 2, 3, 4 and so on. Golden Half Chelsea Maika works this way instead – 0, 6, 12, 18, till 72. Being a super curious kid, I went home and tried it A.S.A.P. It was then when I freak out cause the film counter is not moving, or so I thought. It took me 3 days to figure it out -.- Speaking of it right now, I am pretty amused at myself.

Golden Half Chelsea Maika comes in 3 settings – Sunny, Cloudy and Flash. Yep, you got me right! This is one of the features of Golden Half Chelsea Maika. Flash hotshoe to attach a flash! I tried the flash hotshoe using my SB600 :p yes, it worked! The settings comes in different aperture. Sunny – F11, Cloudy – F8 and Flash – F11. And to change the settings, just twist the camera lens!

See! Told you it is so small and it fits my palm nicely! Haha! I think this camera would be good for a beginner. Reason – it is very user friendly and that it is small enough to be brought everywhere. Oh before I go, I promised to tell you why I think Golden Half Chelsea Maika is a good name for this little camera. Well, the Chelsea Maika is pretty much understandable. Chelsea Maika is originally a lover for photography and art, thus she was given a chance to design her own Golden Half which stands out in spectacular color and difference in design, it is good to be given as a gift as the box design is extremely unique as well.

This is purely my thoughts on the name Golden Half. This camera is indeed a gold itself. Reason being that it is a half frame camera which double the shots! A normal 36 exposure film can produce 72 pictures. Now, doesn’t that explain why it is Golden Half?

So, on a rainy Tuesday, I was sitting inside McDonald waiting for Adrian. Haha. To get the Nico Digi :p so I could try it out and tell you guys how it felt like. Before I began with the pictures, I shall promote a bit about Nico Digi first!

Weighing at only 85g (including battery!), this small tiny little toy takes pictures at three sizes, 640X480, 1280X1024 and 1600X1200. It has auto exposure, white balance as well as a 10sec self timer for cam whores more fun-filled pictures! The awesome spawesome thing about this is that, kecik-mayung tapi berpunya video (small but have video function)! ! Let me tell you one secret! For the past few days, the sky was sooo gloomy and I don’t get the chance to snap snap outside as well cause now sun shine shiny, next rain drop gloomy! However, I had 2 tries – one in indoor and one in outdoor lo and behold!

Three of the above was taken outdoor please pardon my retarded nails. I was lucky enough to actually capture bright sky! cause the next day it rained non-stop again. How gloomy but nice in a way cause cooling weather mah. Haha! I know there are other sun shine shiny days but I was practically stuck in a room being a good girl listening to lectures *beams*

However, I did manage to take indoor pictures using jelly lens! The one and only jelly lens that I owned is macro. Eh eh. I just noticed that I used 2 items which are being sold at the moment! Ok ok, I promote a bit about macro cause I only used macro -.-

Jelly lens – macro. It is not tricky to use at all. The name spells everything out. Macro means taking pictures at a close range, in other words, to show details of an item. So one thing good about these jelly lens is that you can stick them on everything that has smooth surface and of course, the camera’s lens (and yes, dSLR is excluded -.-). But, the major best thing about this is that this jelly lens have this some sort of a sticky adhesives (which doesn’t leave any traces) and if it loses its stickiness, just take a damp cloth and lightly wipes it! So, back to the indoor pictures, curious as of why I can get such good lighting though in indoor? Haha. Now I shall reveal my secret see! You all can learn so much from me :p *bangga*

Yes! I used a torch light to create the lighting that I wanted! Haha! You should try it sometimes it is not entirely a bad idea at all. The best thing is that, you can always get it the way you wanted it to be! Oh and before I go off, here is a really nice bokeh picture! I suppose you could say this is my favorite piece among all

In the name of good and awesome pictures, I think I am one of the many that would go all extend for it. Sadly enough, budget are always my main constraint *cries* but these awesome pictures worth more than a zillion Ringgits!

What actually encourages me to snap pictures as such? I had seriously no idea. I love taking pictures but I don’t like to be in the frame. Most of my pictures would revolve around sceneries/ spontaneous pictures. No, I don’t think before I shot which is why I always end up with insufficient memory *cries louder* and also indecisive as most of them are so awesome *cries non-stop*

Honestly, I wouldn’t mind, given with the opportunity to try new cameras and going all around the places to snap different pictures which emphasizes much on the benefit of the camera. Probably, you can also steal a trick or two on “A Dummies guide to Pro”? Haha!

All pictures were taken at Broga Hill during its sunrise. Oh and these babies are taken with Jeebus (yes I name my D60 Jeebus) on a 12-24mm lens. Yes I know it is not exactly lomography but it falls under photography :p if I get choosen (and I did!), I will probably wipe out all the cameras available and start venturing then provide awesome spawesome pictures! I believe, with good pictures it would bring out the awesomeness of the camera’s function and also reduces the doubt in quality (:
