I feel very guilty for not spending much time with you guys here in TCS. I am really very very busy with my studies these days. This semester, the assignments are endless and from the beginning of the semester till now (1 month to go before this semester ends), Me and my mates had completed like almost 10 assignments. Currently, I have 3 more to complete. Never feel so busy before in my uni life. Besides that, I am busy looking for jobs too for my internship next semester. Sent a few resume and been to interviews, luckily there’s a company agreed to hire me. So now, I am fully concentrate on the remaining assignments and the coming finals.

And ya, there’s this 1 assignment for 1 of my subject that needed me and my group members to develop an online shopping system. Since my group members have no suggestions at all on where to start, I suggested that let’s work on “The Click Shop” ..hehehe.. And everyone agreed bout it. We are going to upgrade TCS and Adrian was so kind enough agreeing in helping us. He was interviewed by us and made this assignment possible. We asked him lots of questions regarding TCS and what he hopes to have in the current blog. It was such an experience interviewing him and know more bout the direction of TCS is heading. From why you started TCS? to Do you study your competitors? , all sorts of questions were being asked. Besides that, I gotta meet Happyashley too. Lol.. Seriously, thanks a lot Adrian for the help. I am gonna print screen and post the upgraded TCS in my next blog.. Stay tune.. TCS v2.0.. Haha..

We started it by writing a proposal on what we want to add to the current blog based on the information we got from the interview session. After completing the proposal and submitted it to our lecturer, we start having meetings and assigning tasks to everyone in developing the new TCS. We built the prototype and after 1 or 2 months, we got it done and presented it to our lecturer. We havent know our result yet for the assignment but based on the expression of the lecturer when I am presenting it to her, I can see that she’s quite pleased with it.

My girlfriend had the opportunity to go for this student exchange program by the Lions Club. I am actually quite jealous about it as I am being left behind in Malaysia and cant go to a place I never been to and see are there any prawns left in South Africa. You will get what I mean if you watch District 9. Too bad I cant fit into her luggage bag.

Basically, U can see what this post is all about through the title clearly.. I have inserted Fuji Velvia into the BBF borrowed from Adrian last month and bringing it everywhere with me. Shoot here and there and these are what u get from the equation at the title.

Velvia 100f gave me a brown color effect or a little bit like redscale every time I xpro it and its not suitable to take night shots with it especially u are using it with your color flash as it only yield the same old brown color. For me, I always feel that slides are not suitable for night shots but I will try to prove myself wrong as I am still lack of experience in trying taking pics this way. I use mostly normal negatives to shoot with color flash as it gives exactly the color u want. U are totally in control with it.. Add some multiple exposure shots with different colors of flash with it.

Here are shots using the same roll of film but with color flash and u can see clearly that the color is almost the same and did not yield any colorful pictures..

And for the photo below, I used normal negative with color flash and you can see the colors clearly especially with multiple exposure technique. Photos are taken with Holga 135bc.

Although Velvia 100f yields brown color pics most of the time but there’s a few shots from me in the past that gave some surprise. This is what i meant here, look at the pics taken with the same velvia 100f, xpro, using my holga 135bc..

The pictures produced from different films may be affected too by the scanner you used to scan it. I am using a Canon Canoscan 4400F to scan most of my pictures but I am always not satisfied with it especially when it involves slides. In my previous post, I mentioned that the Fuji Sensia slides I used for my Penang trip was not as nice as I am expecting, I think the problem is with the scanner I used. I come to this conclusion because another roll of slide I used, Kodak Elite Chrome EBX gave me poor results too. The pictures are not as nice as those I saw in Flickr.

I managed to ask the lady that processes my films in SS2. I asked her why the pictures I scanned myself were not as nice as those she scanned for me where I need to pay RM7 for it. She gave me a very good answer.. My scanner costs RM 400k, yours.. RM 400.. LOL..

Wow! I need lots of money. I hope they give Ang Pows on christmas..   So, this is my wishlist, what’s yours? Take a deep breath and write down a list. Its okay to reward yourself sometimes. Dont feel so guilty. Merry X mas everyone and have a great new year..

First stop for my holidays, Penang. Its my first time going there and I heard lots of good stuff bout that place, especially the food there and I am sure I am going to have a big fat belly after the trip and its true, I am having a big fat belly now. — Okay, everything before this was written like 2 weeks ago. This post has stuck in the draft for so so so long. Its a tragedy. When I was back to my hometown, to my surprise, the internet service for my house was terminated. It was a big blow for me. You see, my parents were never as advance as their son in terms of computer stuff and they decided to terminate the internet service because I spent most of the time in KL, and even my house’s telephone service was terminated too.

Okay, lets talk about Penang. Everything was nice there especially the food. I visited a lot of places and the 1 that i love includes the Kek Lok Si, Bukit Bendera, the food stalls, Hard Rock Cafe and Gurney.. The food is awesome there. But there’s one thing that really upset me, I think more specific, my tummy, is the lacking of experience of my tour guide, who is my friend from Taiping. She brought us to many many nice places to eat but almost every place is like famous for their fried kuey teow and Penang Laksa. So, it was like eating the Laksa and kuey teow at every place possible around Penang. And now even its like almost 3 weeks from the trip, I am still sick of them. But overall, it was a nice experience going there especially with my crazy friends around.

I brought 2 toy cameras with me which is the BBF and the UWS. For the BBF, I loaded it with Agfa CT Precisa 100 and for the UWS, I loaded it with the Fujichrome Sensia 200. I am quite satisfied with the Agfa CT Precisa’s x-processed pictures but for the Sensia, its not as nice as I expected. I will talk bout that in my next post. Thanks to uncle Zybisko, I think there’s no need for me to intro much bout the BBF. So these are my pics. Hope you all like it.

My curiosity overcome my laziness and decided to give it a search through the Internet and the answer I get is quite interesting. Believe it or not, it has something got to do with 1 of my favourite band, The Beatles.

The creators of the Blackbird, Fly want to express the true spirit of using the camera, freedom. And what’s best representing freedom other than a bird. Besides that, they decided the bird to be black, well, its the title of a song from the most famous band of all time.

I will post some of the pictures using the Blackbird, Fly on my next blog entry, stay tuned but now let’s enjoy the song from The Beatles.

After being chosen begging to get into the team to write for TCS, I started to borrow the Digital Harinezumi but my mingy stingy master doesn’t include it with a battery and memory card so I borrowed a UWS instead. I am kinda broke this month so can’t afford any extra money on my interests.

I always wanted to get the ori UWS but never had the chance. With my newfound super power after joining TCS, its time to play with those toy cameras that i love without buying it. Haha..

The UWS is mini and cute and I can bring it everywhere with ease. After shooting 1 roll of redcsale film with it while on my trip around KL and back to my hometown. The things that I dont really like bout the cam is:

1. Can’t do multiple exposure.
2. Need a bright sunny day for nice pics.

But the wide angle lens is truly amazing.. Love it so much..

I paired it up with a roll of homemade redscale of Fuji Superia 200. If you dont know what am I talking about, check out this link –> Redscale . And if you are interested to know how to make it yourself. Check this link –> DIY Redscale . You can save a lot by making it yourself instead of buying it from LSI. So like what I said, I am so damn poor this month but still wanna try some special films instead of the normal negatives, redscale is the  only option i have.

Some of those blue tiny lines are because of the dust and not special effects. My lousy scanner can’t scan all properly. Hope you love it and not hurting your eyes. Can’t wait for my next roll of films to finish.. See ya..
